Air Conditioner Stolen While Residents Worked In Yard
Summertown residents reported to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies last week that their air conditioner was stolen from their window while they were working in the yard.
Residents Johnny Lee Wyrick and Billy Wayne Lovell, III, reported they had been working behind their home when they heard some loud noises.
Lovell told deputies that he walked to the front of the house only to see someone driving away in an older model red Nissan car, with their air conditioner in the back.
Lovell told deputies that he was able to jump into his vehicle and pursue the driver. He stated that he followed the car out Highway 20, left onto Highway 43, and into Maury County. He was able to provide deputies with a detailed vehicle description as well as the license plate number.
A “Be On the LookOut” alert was dispatched to Maury County law enforcement agencies, however at the time reports were filed no arrest had yet been made.
Loss was estimated to be $300.
